Duhh! What kind of question is that?! Because he is the skier. There are always at least 50 skiers at the start list but he's the only one standing out. Nobody stays cold watching his run. That's why! Want to know more? Sure you do! ;-)

Why Boot Top Hero?
Pretty complicated story. But Bode fans are smart :P
Quoting Marla, a friend of mine: There was a line in a song "Jukebox Hero" and it's about someone who finds his talent in playing the guitar and inspires other people with that, so there's a personal link for Bode in that song he said and they changed that line "Jukebox hero" to "Boot-top hero", which for them would be someone who hits the gates with the boot instead of the shin in SL and after Bode's first WC SL victory, Dane Spencer called Bode boot-top hero. Got it? Cool!
